This is an analytical tool that is used to arrange a large set of data into subgroups that are common in themes and relationships. Through the organization of data into ?affinity groups,? visualization of the commonality becomes much easier. When working with limited resources this tool is ideal because it prioritizes actions and enhances group decision-making.nnThe affinity diagram is reported to have been developed in the 1960s by Jiro Kawakita (Widjaja & Takahashi, 2016). This tool is also popularly known as the K-J Method. The affinity diagrams gained popularity and by the 1970s they were included in the Seven Management and Planning Tools. According to Friis (2019), this is an approach used in Total Quality Control in Japan for processing improvement.nnThis project seeks to find solutions on how to deal with moisture in our home. It will also recommend remediation to this problem in a mesosystem environment as well as a macrosystem environment. The preferred tool is appropriate for this project for various reasons. We will be using the action criteria on the home environmental assessment list. These actions will be grouped into how they can be applied in a microsystem, mesosystem, and macrosystem environment. Therefore, this tool will help in organizing the actions into the three subgroups for easy visualization. It will also be used in identifying the connection between the action and the rationale behind it. It will be used to create hierarchies that show where each action stems from and the purpose of each action. It will also be used to identify what actions to focus on that will encourage the most successful design possible from all the three environment?s perspectives. nnDescription of Selected Home EnvironmentnnMoisture problem has been a concern in our home. This has caused health problems for family members such as asthma and allergies. For an instant, several weeks ago, my sister was diagnosed with acute asthma. On several occasions, our electronics such as the refrigerator have been damaged. We are constantly infested with bugs in the home. This problem has been going on for three years since we moved in. However, the problem was identified six months after moving in when we noticed that it was cold in the house during the summer.nnThe evidence of moisture is seen by the condensation on the windows. Mold has grown around the windows and is more visible in the area where the frame meets the wall. The walls and the ceilings are damaged. The wallpaper in some rooms is budged and in some rooms, the paint on the walls is cracked and slowly peeling off. The furniture has a musty smell. This is especially applicable to those that are closer to the walls. The kitchen cabinets are housing mold and have a musty smell as well. The wall behind the refrigerator is??????????..
